Ogun Commissioner Asks Investors To Key Into Investment Opportunities In Agric, Tourism




The Ogun State Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser. Dapo Okubadejo has asked  prospective investors to tap into the various investments opportunities that abound in the State, particularly in the areas of industrial agriculture and tourism sectors of the economy

Okubadejo stated  this while delivering a paper, titled, "Economic and Investment Opportunities in Ogun State", at a retreat organised by the Igbobi College Old Boys Association (ICOBA) 1973-77/79 set at the TCC Resort, Ogere, Ogun State, said  that several policies and regulatory reforms had been put in place to enhance the Ease of Doing Business in the State.

Represented by the Director-General, Ogun Invest, Mr. Kunle Amoo, Okubadejo noted that the State is rich in industrial, agricultural and tourism potentials and poised to become Africa’s model industrial and logistics hub by year 2030, maintaining that the State is not just the industrial centre of the country, but also Nigeria’s top investment destination.

The Chief Economic Adviser stated further that the Dapo Abiodun-led administration is keen in exploring the prospects presented by the State’s proximity to the largest market in West Africa, Lagos.

“To further achieve this feat, the State will hinge on three policy thrusts, which include, reforming government institutions, fiscal policy and private sector participation. The developmental pillars will centre around infrastructure, social welfare and wellbeing, education, human development, youth empowerment and agriculture”, Okubadejo submitted.
