Governing Council of Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos, has announced the appointment of Dr. Serah Funmilayo Oketunji as the new substantive Librarian of the Institution
The council in a statement made available to Edu-Biznews, said the appointment of Oketunji was approved at its meeting held on 29th of October, 2021
She is replacing Dr. Ademola Fijabi who has been holding the position in an acting capacity since 2020.
Oketunji joined the service of the College as a Senior Librarian deployed to Head Acquisition Department in 1993.
She is a veteran of the Library profession with over 28 years experience.
Oketunji who was born almost six decades ago, hails from Iresi in Osun State.
She will be office as librarian for five years, in line with the new Polytechnic act.
Until this appointment, Oketunji was the Deputy Polytechnic Librarian.
She is happily married with children
