FIBA 2023 World cup: Nigeria Bounces Back, Beat Mali 72-70




Nigeria's D'Tigers bounced back on Saturday, with a slim 72-70 points win over Mali, after a disappointing  71-79points loss  to Cape Verde in their group opener of the 2023 FIBA Worid Cup Qualifier on Friday 

D'Tigers playing its second group game  at Pavilhao Multiusos,Benguela in Angola, won the first quarter 16-15 but later lost the second quarter to Mali 14-24 before half time of the encounter 

The team took the third quarter  23-16 and later went on to win the fourth quarter 19-15, to seal the game and put their campaign for the FIBA 2023 world cup back on the  track 

Captain Ike Diogu recorded an impressive 19 points, five rebounds in the game 

The senior men's national side will clash  with Uganda this Sunday in continouation d4of the qualification series for the FIBA world cup
