CAF Women's Champions League- Rivers Angels Down Again

Nigeria's Champions, Rivers Angels of Port-harcourt are on the verge of crashing out of the maiden CAF Women's Champions League, after suffering their second consecutive defeat in the competition

The Angels on Tuesday narrowly lost by a lone-goal to the South African side, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies who are now edging closer to the Caf Women’s Champions League semi-finals after the win  at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo, Egypt 

The Nigerians had earlier lost woefully by 0-3 to FAR Rabat of Morocco in their first match while the Sundowns had earlier defeated Vihiga Queens of Kenya 1-0 last Saturday.

Zanele Nhlapo’s 16th-minute goal  earned Sundowns their back to back win, to move to the top of Group B with six maximum points 

Vihiga Queens of Kenya also defeated FAR of Morocco 2-0 , to revive their chances of qualifying for the semi-finals

The Moroccan side are second with three points despite the defeat, haven won their first match 3-0 against Nigeria's Rivers Angels 

 Vihiga Queens are third with the same three points but the Moroccans have superior three goals 

Rivers Angels mathematically will need a massive  five unreplied goals  against the Kenyans while hoping the South African, Sundowns defeated FAR of Morocco
