Ogun Begins Enrollment Of Pupils Into Primary Schools




Ogun State Government has concluded arrangement for commencement of the registration of six-year-old children into public primary schools of their choice across the state as from this Monday, August 9,2021

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof.Abayomi Arigbabu accompanied by SUBEB Chairman, Dr. Femi  Majekodunmi announced the date while leading a campaign team to some markets and parks in Abeokuta, the state capital, to create awareness for the registration of pupils

They highlighted the need for parents and guardians to enroll their children for the basic education programme.
          
Arigbabu said that the free education programme of the government would allow children have access to qualitative and affordable education, regardless of the financial status of their parents

His words,"Let us endeavour to take our six-year old children to a nearby public primary school for free registration into primary one class. Education is important in life, that is why our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun made everything ready for our children to enjoy good teaching and quality learning in our schools"

Also speaking, the SUBEB boss, Dr. Majekodunmi reiterated government’s efforts in making education accessible for all and sundry, pointing out that the yellow roof revolution is one of the major commitment of the present administration in the State, to move the education sector forward.
          
Contributing, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye and SUBEB Secretary, Mr. Olalekan Kuye revealed that conducive environment , qualified teachers, infrastructure and facilities were in place for efficient teaching and learning activities.
