MAPOLY Tasks Staff To Sustain Rating




Management of the Ogun State Government owned Moshood Abiola Polytechnic MAPOLY Abeokuta has tasked both its academic and non-academic staff to work harder to sustain its current high rating among other polytechnics in Nigeria 

Webometric, a leading Spain based rating global Organization in its latest release, ranked MAPOLY nineth overall and second best state polytechnic in the country  behind the Yaba College of Technology, YabaTech in Lagos State , Federal Polytechnic Ilaro in Ogun state, Lagos State Polytechnic and Federal Polytechnic Auchi in Edo State rated as top four 

Acting Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji who lauded the staff for the feat recorded during the recent commissioned of some developmental projects on its Ojere, Abeokuta campus , urged them to continue to cooperate with the management to sustain and improve on the height attained 


"We are not doing badly because of the challenges we went through,we are still ranked high among other polytechnics in Nigeria, most of them Federal Government owned Institutions, except Lagos State Polytechnic with huge resources", he commended 

"The ranking shows the huge potentials of this polytechnic, it is left for you and l to let us collaborate, work together to sustain the height attained", Odedeji charged 

Edu-Biznews recalled that MAPOLY was stagnated for two years before the advent of the Prince Dapo Abiodun's administration on May 29,2019, because of the controversy that greeted the upgrading of the Institution to a University of Science and Technology by the immediate past Ibikunle Amosun's administration who also established another polytechnic in Ipokia area in Yewa axis of the state during the period

The polytechnic is concluding arrangement for running of degree programmes in affiliation with the Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, in the coming academic session
