New Nigeria People's Party NNPP says its councillorship candidate won Imala ward (11) in the Abeokuta North Local Government Area at the last Saturday councils'poll in Ogun state
The State Chairman of the party, Comrade Olaposi Oginni in a statement on Sunday in Abeokuta, cautioned against the alleged plan to manipulate the result at ward as announced by the Returning Officer in the presence of security operatives
Oginni vowed that NNPP would defend its mandate given by the people of Imala at the poll and ensure justice is done
He appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun and Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission OGSIEC to uphold and defend democracy, by upholding the result of the poll at Imala ward in Abeokuta North Local Government Area
NNPP urged OGSIEC to issue Certificate of Return to its councillorship candidate for the Imala ward in Abeokuta North Local Government Area, to protect the interest of majority people of the area.
