OPIC Condoles Families Of Victims In Lagos Fire Disaster




Management of the Ogun State Government owned Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC) has expressed its condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the recent fire that gutted the OPIC Plaza in Ikeja,Lagos on Thursday night,

The Corporation also expressed its shock over the unfortunate incident which left several others  seriously injured.

 Special Adviser and Managing Director of the Corporation, Arc. Abiodun Fari- Arole in a statement,  described the tragic incident as a rude shock and an unforeseen development, which according to a preliminary report was caused by an LPG tanker that exploded right in front of the Plaza.

Fari-Arole says people injured during the unfortunate incident are presently receiving adequate treatment and commended fire service men who promptly responded when called upon as well as security officials that prevented hoodlums from taking advantage of the ugly incident.

He urged the public to ignore  speculations on the general impact of the incident , saying the report of the investigation into the fire incident would be awaited as events unfold.
