TESCOM Reads Riot-Act To Officials Lobbying In Ogun

Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has read a Riot-act to its officers and Zonal Secretaries  lobbying for posting to desist from such act

The commission described the conduct as  unwholesome act which is against the Public Service Rules and may disqualify them for such position.

Chairman of TESCOM,Evang.Olalekan Ifede who gave the warning in Abeokuta,  during the  screening and induction ceremony for Messrs. Alagbe Olufemi Kolawole and Lawal Wasiu Alabi as Zonal Secretaries

Ifede who added that the minimum number of years officers, Principals, Vice Principals or Zonal Secretaries could spend on a duty post is three, warned  that ‘’any officers who lobbied for posting under the space of three years without genuine or cogent reasons would have him or herself to blame’’.

The TESCOM boss advised the inductees to see their new posting as a call to service in the delivery of good and qualitative education, assuring that the present administration would leave no stone unturned to improve the sector.

On his part, Commissioner 111 in the Commission, Mr. Olanrewaju Majekodunmi said it is a privileged for the inductees to be screened and inducted same day, saying the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun would not create unnecessary vacuum in the education system across the State.

Responding on behalf of his colleague Zonal Secretary, Mr. Alagbe Olufemi appreciated the State government and the Board for the opportunity, promising to discharge their duties as expected.
