The Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, staff, students and the entire Yaba College of Technology community, have felicitated with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora and entire stakeholders on the occasion of the country's 66th Independence Anniversary
Rector of the Yaba College of Technology, Dr. Engr. Ibraheem Adedotun Abdul in a congratulatory message on behalf of the entire college community described the 66th anniversary as a celebration of resilience, diversity, creativity and indomitable spirit of the Nigerian people.
Anniversary according to the message, provides another opportunity for us to reflect on our collective journey as a nation, appreciate the progress made over the years and renew our commitment to building a peaceful, prosperous and united Nigeria.
The message reads in part: "As an institution committed to technological education, vocational training, innovation, entrepreneurship and human-capital development, Yaba College of Technology remains firmly committed to contributing to the actualisation of Nigeria's development aspirations"
"We shall continue to equip our students with relevant knowledge, practical skills, entrepreneurial capacity and the values required to become productive citizens and responsible leaders"
"At this important moment in our national life, I call on Nigerians, especially our young people, to continue to believe in the Nigerian project and contribute positively to the growth and development of our nation. Every Nigerian has a role to play in building a country where excellence, innovation, integrity, justice, peace and opportunity can thrive."
"The 66th Independence Anniversary should therefore not only be a celebration of our past but also a renewed commitment to the Nigeria we desire to build for present and future generations".
